Annai Indira Educational trust was started on 15.09.1993. AICTE
Order for the Starting Annai Indira Polytechnic for Women was obtained on 13.6.1994.
The institution was shifted to the present site of 10.17 acres during june 2001.
The Polytechnic for women was converted as co-educational institution admitting
boys & girls from 2005-06. and the name of the polytechnic was also changed as Dusi
Polytechnic College by AICTE Order on 27 June 2005. New set of directors under the
chairmanship of Dr.K.R.Arumugam took over the administration in Nov 2005. Most sought
after branch Mechanical Engineering was introduced during 2006-2007 and strength
and intake became 300. Electrical and Electronics branch was introduced during 2007-2008
raising the strength to 500. During 2008-09 Automobile Engineering and Civil Engineering
branches are introduced reaching a total strength of 927 and first year intake of
420.
